WinMX Peer Networking 3.53 Protocol Channel Commands

WinMX 3.53 Commands for Everyone or almost Everyone

The first level of commands are basic enough, and almost everyone will be able to use them. Of course there will be the exception channel where people are too paranoid.

/clr
Clears the display in the channel.
[Default: EVERYONE]

/log filename
With a filename parameter, all activity will be logged to filename.txt in the WinMX program folder.
Without a filename the logging stops.
[Default: EVERYONE]

/channelname
Display name of the channel you are in, useful for copy and paste, but a perfect example of why I think it is absurd to require an access level for something that can be gotten without even entering channel.
[Default : Access level 5]

/login password
Allows you to login with a specific password. Different passwords can be allotted for different access levels.
[Default : Access level 20]

/action text
/me text
/emote text
causes text to come out with the only built in alternate color.
[Default : Access level 60]

From there, it's unlikely that you will need anything else. Unless you get involved in a Chat Channel far more than you should. :)

But since I mentioned it On to the Almost Admin Commands
