You might also want to consider some sort of virus protection if you do not currently have one. Kaspersky has a free 30 day trial available.

If you already have an Anti-Virus solution, you may want to check more frequently for updates, since obviously something got through.

Trend Micro has a FREE online virus scan It is frequently updated and useful. But it is no substitute for good virus protection on your PC.

It would also be wise to consider Spybot- Search and Destroy. It is one of the best (And FREE) adware/spyware removers available. It should be a vital part of everyones routine of computer protection.

While we are on the subject of Computer security, If you do not have a firewall, Sygate has an excellent free version of their firewall. It is secure, doesn't interfere with your internet experience, and easy to use. No one should be without a firewall.
