Installing RCMS

[center]Download RCMS 7.1 for WinMX 3.53

[center]Download RCMS 6.4 for WinMX 3.31

You will need to extract the files and install them into the proper folder. WinRar is what I would suggest to extract the files.

After extraction, you will need to choose between which files are appropriate for you. There are 3 files you need to make sure you add to WinMX folder. These are RCMSConf.txt, WS2_32.dll and WS2_32o.dll.

There is an English and a Japanese folder in most versions. Choose the language you need (I'm guessing English).

WinMX Default Location is C:\Program Files\WinMX. <-- Clicking will allow you to open the WinMX folder the files need to be put into. If the folder opens in a browser window, the link above can still be useful to verify that a manual placement was correct.

Close and re-open WinMX. Congratulations RCMS should be installed, If you Host a chat channel, a dialogue box like the one below should come up.

If everything works right, RCMS version information will be displayed in the channel.

1. Check out the RCMS troubleshooting page and see if the solution is already there.
