Adding Opennap Servers to WinMX 3.31

This is not the only way to add opennap servers to WinMX, but is the easiest.

Download NapMX here

Install NapMX

After installing Run NapMX, then click the Update List Button, Then the Export Button.WHILE WINMX IS RUNNING

Then click the Directly Add to WinMX 3.31 list Button

To Connect to the servers, go to Networks, click the OpenNap Protocol Networks button, then choose the individual servers you wish to connect to , right click and choose connect.

WinMX also has an option that allows you to search for opennap lists shared on the main WinMX network.

To do so, just search as you would for anything else, click the filetypes option and choose the Server option , also known as wsx files, due to their extension.

Once you have a list downloaded, you can just right click it and choose IMPORT.

Then all you need to do is Go to the networks tab (in WinMX) and choose, OpenNap. From here it is pretty much self explained. highlight a server and click connect.

There are also options to manually add servers. Remove servers, import other lists, or even export the servers you have currently into a list of your own to share.

While opennap is an outdated concept in many ways, it should not be discounted as a valuable source of files. Multi-source downloading is not possible on the opennap networks, but it will not affect anything you do on the main network
