Ouka Chat Server

I am writing a brief explanation of the setup and operation of Ouka for one reason. The english translations of its home page make no sense. And most of the translator plugins destroy the chances of actually downloading the file off the site.

REMEMBER TO DOWNLOAD THE VERSION WITH THE E, NOT THE J. This represents english , the J is japanese.

Download, and install it into a folder.

The 3 files are as follows, and serve the following purposes:

Config.ini First its allows you to set custom commands. Think of whatever you enter in the [CmdName] section to be the trigger for what you enter in the [CmdText] area. And lastly the [Commands] section is simply a where you can (re)define what is available on a mouse scroll in host window.

ChatStartup.txt Used to add rcms command defaults on startup. Turn things on, off, set default greeting etc.

RCMSConf.txt Configure RCMS command output, the same as standard RCMS. However the first section is reserved for Ouka settings. Which can be set manually in the txt file. Also there is a section at the end called [Replace]. Here you can specify words that are automatically replaced with a new word. Useful for bad language blocks, If your really twisted, you can make everyone else look bad...... I wonder what my choice was?

Startup

On opening Ouka(Chatserver.exe) and entering it into the Settings Tab:

Simply enter then Information, Check the Room is visible box if you want it to appear on the WinMX network. The Press Start. Autorun will cause it top execute and open a channel on the next restart, removing the future need to press start.

The User and Penalty tabs In no significant way different from RCMS. For a better description on how to use them go here. It will explain Hosting with RCMS in general, and the information is just as accurate.

Chat View and Statistics Tabs Should need no explanation.

Ouka also allows a variety of colors. typing #colours in a channel will show you the available colors.

Commands available in Ouka not in RCMS. Allows you to block rn pagebreaks #admincmd rnblockon #admincmd rnblockoff,

There is the addition of text replacement, (set in RCMSConf.txt) and there are commands to turn it on or off. #admincmd replacetexton - turn the replace text filter on.

#admincmd replacetextoff - turn the replace text filter off.

#AdminCMD /redirect channelname - Full Channel redirect.

#admincmd setvirtualuser value - sets the number (value) of reported (not actual) users in channel on WinMX network.

#admincmd printprimarylist - prints list of users you are connected through the WinMX network through.

#usercmd inputpasscode password - Not really a "new" command, this + the password set by host gives you admin.

#admincmd ignore user username - ignores specified user.

#admincmd removeignore username - unignores specified user.

#admincmd /banip ip - bans an ip

#admincmd /ListBans - Lists all the active bans in channel.
