Download Axe. It is a Hex editor, there are many hex editors that will do an adequate job, but it is the one I will use as an example.

Install and run Axe.

In Axe....

Select File Then Open

WinMX Default Location is C:\Program Files\WinMX.

Choose WS2_32.dll Open

Find Search for #\r\n# , (type ANSI String)

Change the #\r\n# to something else, anything else, this will stop people from being able to use it. Save it.

You can do the same thing to eliminate any command you don't like, or wish to change. #NONAME, #NICKNAME #MESSAGE , #MOTD, #TOPIC. Or anything else for that matter. Happy Hunting.

This same general concept can also be used to edit out commands from ouka chat server. The only difference is the file you will want to change will be named Chatserver.exe . And the location of the file will depend on where you extracted it to.
