How do I convert an avi to something I can make a VCD with?
You will need the freeware programs VirtualDub and TMPGEnc To convert to mpg.
You will also need a burning program. I prefer Nero, but there are others more than capable of doing the job.
1. First you need to extract the audio from the video file. To do so .....
Start Virtualdub. Open the video you wish to convert File->Open video file.( ignore any warnings you may receive at this point, you are just using Virtuadub to extract audio, video problems are not an issue)
Select File->File Information and note the fps as the video source fps because you will need it later..
